I love my 8th graders!

IMPORTANT DATES & ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Thursday, May 30- Eighth Grade Class Trip to Dorney Park. We will be departing St. Jane School around 9:45 am to arrive at Dorney in time for the park opening at 10:30. We will depart from Dorney Park at 4:30 pm and hope to arrive back to school around 5:00. We hope that many parents will be able to join us as chaperones on this fun day. Chaperones must have all their updated clearances on file in the office. 

More information about this trip will be forthcoming. Cost will include bus transportation, an all-you-can-eat buffet lunch, and park admission. Students who have a season pass will only need to pay for the bus and buffet. Please sign and return the a permission slip. Make sure your child wears their Class of 2024 t-shirt! 

Friday, May 31 – Eighth Grade Block Party will  be the final day for our eighth graders. This day will be bittersweet, but will include lots of fun activities. Parents are invited to join us throughout the day.

  • 8:15 am – Final eighth grade school Mass and NJHS Stole Ceremony – Must wear regular uniform to school
  • 9:30 am – Change into GYM SHORTS, EIGHTH GRADE T-SHIRTS, and SNEAKERS (no sandals, crocs, or flip flops). Light breakfast will be provided by parents.
  • The block party will be in the lot adjacent to FFH! Bring lawn chairs and sunscreen! Any outdoor games are encouraged (Giant Jenga, Can Jam, Ladder Golf, Spikeball, etc.)
  • Pizza will be served for lunch around 11:30 am (Mrs. Okula will pay for the pizza and the Ice Cream truck – she needs assistance with ordering and pick up of pizza)
  • 1:00 pm – Block party cleanup 
  • 1:30 pm – Eighth Grade Clap out! All parents may join us as we line Washington Blvd. and have our students walk through the school to say goodbye!
  • 2:00 pm – Dismissal 

Sunday, June 2- Baccalaureate Mass & Luncheon 

    • Baccalaureate Mass at 12:00 pm at St. Jane Church (4049 Hartley Ave.) followed by Luncheon in the new Parish Center
    • Please RSVP if you unable to attend
    • Please make sure the graduation gown is ironed with a cool iron so as not to burn the fabric.
    • Young men should be dressed in dress button up shirts, ties, dress pants, and dress shoes. Young ladies should wear modest and appropriate dresses/skirts/slacks under their gowns. MUST BE RESPECTFUL. 
    • Meet at 11:45 in the Gathering Space. Graduates should arrive in their graduation gowns. NJHS students should wear the stoles they received on 5/31. Bishop’s Scholars should also wear the medal they received.
  • Graduates and parents will process to their seats together, and sit with their child/ren.
  • After Mass concludes, parents and students are invited to attend the CYO Communion Luncheon in the new Parish Center.

 Monday, June 3 – Graduation Day

  • Graduation is at 6:30 pm in the IHM Chapel (1900 Washington Blvd). There is open seating. Doors will open at 6:00 pm.
  • Graduates should report to the first floor of the main school building no later than 6:15 pm in gowns, stoles, and medals. Young men should be dressed in dress button up shirts, ties, dress pants, and dress shoes. Young ladies should wear modest and appropriate dresses/skirts/slacks under their gowns. MUST BE RESPECTFUL.
