Dear Parents,

Here is Mrs. Okula’s ZOOM Meeting Room Number: 7991272416 – Mrs. Okula’s Zoom Room

COVID-19 UPDATE: As we all wait out these next two weeks, I would like to gain information on the on-line capabilities of our students and their families.  To help us better understand how families access on-line resources with your children, please complete this survey by Friday, March 20, 2020.

Over the past few weeks, we have all been receiving an abundance of on-line resources and it has been wonderful to see so many families sharing information online!  While we do not know if the current quarantine will extend beyond the two weeks, I want to reassure you that our team at St. Jane School has been in ongoing contact, and we are exploring different technology platforms to engage our students should remote learning need to occur.

Although homework is not required during these two weeks at home, many families have inquired if books could be available for pick up.  At the current time, I ask you to engage with learning activities you have found online and/or that teachers are providing on their webpages.  If your child does not have a book for work that is listed on a teacher’s webpage it is OKAY, children will not be graded for work during these two weeks. The teacher webpage information is to provide learning opportunities for enrichment to keep their minds moving and them out of your hair as best as possible.  I ask for your patience as we continue to navigate these ever-changing days. Thank you for your continued support!

Stay well everyone.  May Jesus, the Divine Physician, preserve us from all illness and harm.

St. Jane Frances de Chantal School has been recognized as an outstanding Catholic School in the Diocese of Allentown. It is only through the dedication and love of our parish, faculty, parents, and students that we could have achieved this.

I would like the share with you some amazing information about our school. First, did you know our students regularly perform in the 80th and 90th percentile on the Iowa Test of Basic Skills? This is a nationa8l standardized test. In addition, our graduates consistently rank in the top 10 of area private and public high schools.

We are members of the National Junior Honor Society and more than 50% of our 7th and 8th grade students qualify and are currently members. Each classroom is equipped with the latest SMART board technology.  We have an active CYO sports and academic program, and our students compet at championship level in most areas.

Finally, St. Jane Frances de Chantal School is a school for everyone!  We have supports in place for those who need to be challenged and those students that are in need of extra help.

St. Jane Frances de Chantal School is a Catholic School. Our vision and purpose flow from the Gospel message of faith, hope, and love. Teaching this message permeates our curriculum. Our students receive a values-based education where morals are stressed and taught throughout the day in every classroom. Through this Christ-centered environment, our social conscience is heightened enabling our students to be actively engaged in service and community projects. We understand the importance of giving back because we have been given so much. Praying together each day is a gift that we treasure.

At St. Jane School, we have two classes of every grade from Pre-K3 to grade 8. This provides us with a small nurturing environment where children are encouraged and cared for in a special way to reach their potential. St. Jane School provides a supportive and faith-filled setting for its students to grow and learn.

A tradition is strong academics are of prime importance to the mission of our school. Our faculty is committed to professional development. All teachers are well trained in subject matter and methodologies. Staff development is a crucial part of improving the educational program, and teachers have taken advantage of a wide variety of opportunities to enhance their skills. They have a keen understanding about the different learning styles of our children and are dedicated to helping each child succeed.

I invite you to take a moment and view the information on our website. Helpful links include Latest News, Upcoming Events, Parents Tab and Student Tab. If you would like more information about our school or a tour of the facilities, please call our school office at 610-253-8442.
